Simon Kirk has participated in The Sketchbook Project where his sketchbook is one of 41,067 artists whose works have been digitised for the project.

The project collates sketchbooks of artists from around the world.

The Sketchbook Project was started in 2006 in Atlanta, Georgia and in 2009 it moved to New York City where it has grown from a small organisation into a worldwide community of more than 70000 artists. It now has a huge following including Susan Sarandon who can be seen in the picture browsing the sketchbooks.

The sketchbooks are available for public viewing at the Brooklyn Art Library and have also been digitised to view online.

Simon Kirk’s sketchbook will also be one of 4000 involved in The Sketchbook Project Mobile Library in Governors Island, New York.
