‘Elegantia’ is a wonderful Geometric Sculpture by contemporary artist Marie Ackers.

“When I sculpt, I start to sculpt in clay or plastecine. I then make a first silicone mould of the work and cast a plaster version, which I then rework completely. This is the final version that is then moulded again by the foundry and cast. The piece looked so impressive in plaster that it was a natural choice to make it in Marble resin, a combination of modern materials and classic material for a contemporary sculpture with a classical feel.” – Marie Ackers

Similarly to the Horseman, this sculpture was the first in this collection. It portrays the elegant shapes, pure lines and attitudes of the horses.

‘Elegantia’ is from a Limited Edition of 8 and is also available in an edition of 8 in a deep blue patina.
