This piece of screenprint art has been released for her Solo exhibition of the same title and runs in conjunction with the annual London, Battersea Affordable Art Fair in October.
Each print has been hand finished with various metal leafs & silkscreened onto using an image taken from the original piece of art in charcoal , also titled ‘All That Glitters’.
This silkscreen is on thick watercolour paper with torn edges that has been hand gilded in metal leaf & varnished.
‘All That Glitters – Blue’ comes from an edition of 25 and is signed and numbered by the artist.
A popular artist at the Affordable Art Fairs in London, Singapore and Hong Kong, Sarah Scotchman’s previous collection sold out across the London and Singapore shows.
‘All That Glitters’ is her fourth hand finished screen print incorporating 24ct gold leaf and dyed silver leaf. The process of creating pure coloured silver leaf involves taking genuine silver leaf, dying and coating it with a plastic resin. The result is a vibrant leaf, with the brightness of silver in a myriad of gorgeous jewel-like colours.
Float mounted to show off the torn edges and framed in a black lacquer frame using UV protective museum glass to enhance the textures of the leaf layers and to protect the vibrant colours.
